To disappear into thin air or simply become invisible to the rest of the world. Who has never wished for that? To wander around completely invisible and play tricks on others or do crazy things, wonderful! To eavesdrop on others unnoticed, what they are up to or what they say about others when we are apparently not present. With this idea, the childlike mind literally blossoms again.
Unfortunately, this matter is not so easy to implement in real life, no matter how practical this would often be.
But in a dream, the impossible can come true. So what is behind this dream image?
How did it feel to be invisible in the dream? This "becoming invisible" can appear in two different forms: In the first possibility the dreamer feels not seen, thus invisible although his material body has not disappeared. He feels overlooked or transparent by his environment. He feels treated by others, like air. These dream images can be in close connection with the real felt experience of the dreamer in the awake state. One often feels overlooked and unimpressive to others, as if one does not exist.
How this dream image can still appear is more pleasing than the first. In this form, a certain playful childishness occurs, being able to do anything and everything in the invisible state without being held responsible. This may also reflect the dreamer's desire to escape the real world as an invisible person, or to escape the hamster wheel in which one vanishes into thin air.
In general interpretation, becoming invisible in a dream has a warning symbol that the dreamer should stay away from people who seem inscrutable . Be vigilant and keep your hands off circumstances that do not concern you or do not interfere in other people's business. Also, don't be too gullible and don't let others' convictions get the better of you. What is important in the occurrence of an invisible-becoming dream is to realize that instead of worrying about others, it is best for your self-well-being to first pay attention to yourself.
More often it can happen in our dreams that the appearing persons in the dream change visually. This means that some become invisible, since just a moment ago they were clearly physically present to the dreamer visually. Psychologically interpreted, a dream event of this type can clarify that the person dreaming is projecting something in others that he is not in reality. We see something in others that reflects our own attitudes and desires and has nothing to do with the other person. This could all be going on at an unconscious level within us.
This dream symbol "becoming invisible" advises the dreamer to be more anxious to observe and see through other people.
On the other hand, a figure that has become invisible in a dream can also be a symbol for our own shadow. We like to suppress our darker parts and push them away into the unconscious. The time is ripe to work out with this "invisible" that has made itself felt through the dream, to face the dark sides.
From the spiritual point of view, the dream symbol "becoming invisible" represents the indefinable and formless usually embody for the things that cannot be explained to our rational thinking.
