The crow is considered an unlucky bird compared to the related raven. Desolate sight of pictures with bare trees or also empty wide fields, where crows sit and by their cawing crowing sound almost something like a derisive laughter.
However, in shamanism the crow is revered as a magical bird that carries wisdom. Supposedly, these intelligent animals can also imitate human speech.
These ambivalent characteristics sound quite interesting and one may be curious to see how this is reflected in the dream analysis.
In the general approach, the symbol of the crow is associated with negativity. If you hear a cawing in your dream, it stands for bad news that will soon flutter in. Or grief and trouble awaits you.
In past times, when superstition had a great impact on people, a crow was a sign of an approaching death. It could also mean for dream interpretation, when an imminent separation from a dear person is unconsciously felt, that as a sign of this a crow appears. If one catches a crow in a dream, it can also refer to some kind of loss. Finding a dead crow by the wayside symbolizes that houses of cards based on lies will collapse and the truth will be served on a silver platter.
If you find several crows sitting together in a dream, this indicates success on a financial level. One crow never pecks out another eye, as the saying goes. To find crows sitting together on the trees symbolizes a family and relatives meeting, where the members have not seen each other for a long time.
The crow may reflect blind spots in one or even disagreeable personality traits that the person does not want to see and prefers to repress. The crow's cawing in the dream serves as a wake-up call to pay attention to these aspects.
In addition, the image of the crow can also refer to another person, whose eloquence can seem frightening, aggressive or scary to the dreamer. Strikingly often men have such dreams in connection with women for whom they have respect or even fear.
The crow is seen as a very ambivalent feathered creature and can indicate that the dreamer himself is very insecure and has little confidence in his perception and assessment of a certain situation in life.
Crow is handled as a magical animal in spiritual interpretation and has an important position in shamanism. It represents TRANSFORMATION and WISDOM.
